A Case Study in Transformation

The Case Study: From Challenge to Achievement

This case study focuses on 18 third-grade students from a rural area in the state of Mississippi who took an ELA MAAP Assessment three times. After the first two administrations in April and May, GreenTree Educational Solutions was brought in to provide a targeted, 16-day intervention before the final June assessment. The results show the clear impact of our program.

The GTE Process: A Cycle of Success

Our success is built on a dynamic, adaptive assessment cycle. This isn't a linear path, but a continuous loop of improvement that ensures every student's needs are met in real-time.

The Impact on Student Passing Rates

The program made a clear impact on passing rates. Even for students who didn't pass, their scores improved significantly, with the lowest score rising from 0 to 8. This shows that our methods create growth for every type of learner.

A Closer Look: Individual Student Progress

While averages tell part of the story, the real impact is seen in individual student journeys. This chart shows the raw score for each of the 18 students across all three assessments, highlighting their unique paths to growth.

Breaking Down the Growth: Performance by Topic

The overall improvement was driven by significant gains in all three core ELA topics. These charts show the average student score percentage for each 20-item section across the three assessments.

The Student Journey: The Plateau & The Breakthrough

The Starting Point (April)

The initial diagnostic in April showed all students scoring below the passing threshold. This histogram shows the number of students in each score range.

The May Plateau

Between the April and May assessments, student progress had stalled. This chart shows that more students saw their scores decrease or stay the same than students who improved, highlighting the need for a new approach.

The GTE Breakthrough (June)

After GTE's 16-day intervention, the June assessment showed a dramatic turnaround. This chart isolates our impact, comparing the average score from May to the significantly higher average in June.

The Key Outcome: Widespread Student Growth

While the average scores tell part of the story, the most important measure of success is individual improvement. After the 16-day GTE intervention, a remarkable 78% of students had a higher score on the final June assessment than they did on their initial April diagnostic.

These results are more than just numbers; they are proof of our core belief. True growth happens when you see the story behind every score, especially when half of the students in this group have a learning disability and an Individualized Education Plan (IEP). Our meticulous, data-driven process is designed to find a path to success for every single student. This is the GreenTree difference, and it's how we turn potential into proven results, because...
